The first convocation list for the men’s volleyball team, which begins the 2023 international competition schedule, has been announced.
The Korean Volleyball Association announced the list of national teams to compete in the 2023 AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Challenger Men’s Volleyball Tournament to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from July 8 to 15.
16 players were selected for this national team, led by head coach Lim Do-heon and coach Nam Gwang-gu. Setters Hwang Taek-eui and Kim Myeong-gwan, and liberos Park Gyeong-min and Oh Jae-seong were selected.
Five middle blockers were Kim Gyu-min, Kim Min-jae, Kim Jun-woo, Park Jun-hyuk, and Lee Sang-hyeon, and five outside hitters were Kim Ji-han, Na Gyeong-bok, Lim Seong-jin, Jeong Han-yong, and Hwang Gyeong-min, following apogee spiers Lim Dong-hyuk and Heo Soo-bong.
Compared to the national team roster first convened at the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) Challenger Cup held in Seoul last year, one setter was left out and Kim Myung-gwan entered. Oh Jae-seong joined the Libero in place of Jung Min-soo.
The Apposite Spiker is the same, and Kim Ji-han and Jung Han-yong were selected in the outside heater position without Kwak Seung-seok and Jeon Kwang-in. The middle blocker changed from last year’s five players: Shin Young-seok, Choi Min-ho, Park Jin-woo, Kim Jae-hwi, and Park Chan-woong. It is newly composed of Kim Kyu-min, Kim Min-jae, Kim Jun-woo, Park Jun-hyeok, and Lee Sang-hyun.크크크벳
The national team was summoned to the Jincheon National Training Center on May 1 and started training. Following the weight training on the first day, starting today, I will start a fire workout.
Head coach Lim Do-heon said, “It is important to improve your condition before the tournament in July. The women’s national team has also been convened, so we plan to discuss the court usage time.”
Several young players have been selected for this national team, and since it is right after the season, they are checking their physical condition first. After working together at the Jincheon Athletes Village, the national team is scheduled to depart for Taipei on July 6th.
