Hanwha’s homegrown starter Kim Min-woo (28) has been sidelined with a torn shoulder muscle.

“As a result of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination of Kim Min-woo, he was diagnosed with a partial tear of the deltoid muscle in his right shoulder,” the Hanwha club said on Friday, adding that he will need up to three months of rehabilitation.

Kim made a start against Lotte at Sajik Stadium in Busan on April 14 and left the mound after one inning due to shoulder pain. Kim plans to join the rehabilitation group and dedicate himself to recovering from the injury.

Previously, Kim returned to the starting rotation after spending 11 days on the disabled list after being hit in the right arm by Guillermo Heredia’s hard hit ball against SSG on March 14.메이저놀이터

After joining Hanwha in the second round (1st overall) of the 2015 KBO Draft, Kim had a career-high season in 2021 with a 14-10 record and a 4.00 ERA.

Kim has struggled this season, going 6-1 with a 6.79 ERA in 12 starts.
