English Premier League (EPL) champions Manchester City are all set for the ‘Treble’.
City earned a 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the 2022-23 English FA Cup Final on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring 12 seconds into the first half, before United’s Bruno Fernandez equalized in the 33rd minute, and Gundogan scored the game-winner six minutes into the second half. City held on for a 2-1 victory and the trophy. It was City’s seventh FA Cup title, and their first in four years since 2019.
With the EPL and FA Cup titles in the bag, City now have one more competition to complete the treble. The UEFA Champions League (UCL). City will play Inter Milan in the final on November 11th.
If they can pull it off, they’ll become the second team in English history to win the treble, joining Manchester United in 1999. That’s two trebles under the English sky.

Of these, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have won two trips.
