SSG Landers Choo Shin-soo lost his temper.
On the 28th, SSG and LG Twins faced off at SSG Landers Field in Incheon. The situation arose in the top of the first inning when SSG leadoff hitter Shin-soo Choo batted. A fastball from LG starter Lee Ji-gang completely left the zone and hit Shin-soo Choo in the left heel area. It was a hard hit ball.
After the pitch, Choo hovered around the plate for a while, checking on his condition. The training coach rushed over to check on him, as did head coach Cho Won-woo and first base coach Kim Min-jae.
The problem came next. LG catcher Park Dong-won said something to Shin-soo as he was getting ready to step out on the first base line, which caused Shin-soo to lash out and get angry. Park Dong-won just smiled, but Choo Shin-soo’s anger seemed to be unabated. Senior Cho Won-woo stopped him and he walked toward the first base line. Lee Ji-gang took off his hat and made an apologetic gesture as Choo Shin-soo reached first base.온라인바카
Shin-soo Choo had been out of shape for some time, recently being sidelined with an ankle injury. It’s unclear if the collision was due to the trauma of the injury or if there was some sort of altercation, but thankfully, it didn’t escalate into a fight. After the inning, Choo Shin-soo approached Park Dong-won and put his arm around his shoulder to talk and clear up any misunderstandings.
Shin-soo Choo went on to run the bases and play defense in the top of the third inning. However, he signed to the bench during his defense in the third inning, and was eventually replaced by Kim Kang-min as a right fielder. SSG said, “Choo Shin-soo was replaced due to pain in his left foot after being hit by a sand dune. After checking his condition, we will decide whether to have him checked by a hospital.”
