Lee Won-jung, Hwang Hyun-jung (Onyang Girls’ High School), Hwang Yoon-seo (Sookmyung Girls’ High School), and Lim Yeon-seo (Supia Girls’ Middle School) have been named to the U-16 women’s basketball team.

The Korea Basketball Association (KBA) has announced the final 12-player roster for the women’s national team to compete at the FIBA U-16 Asian Women’s Basketball Championship 2023.

The 12-player roster includes Lim Yeon-seo (Supia Girls’ Middle School), who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) and top scorer at this year’s Federation Presidential Games and the 60th Spring National Girls’ Basketball Federation Games, as well as Lee Won-jung (Onyang Girls’ High School) and Hwang Yun-seo (Sookmyung Girls’ High School).

Heo will convene the U-16 squad on the 8th of next month for further training.

The U-16 Asian Women’s Basketball Championship will be held from July 10-16 in Amman, Jordan.

Korea, which is in Group A, will open with Syria on July 10, followed by Chinese Taipei on July 11, Australia on July 12 and Thailand on July 13.
