Welsh football star Gareth Bale (34), who recently announced his retirement as a player, will appear on the PGA Tour.

Bale said on his Instagram on the 24th (Korean time), “I am delighted to announce that I will be participating in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am early next month.”

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the name of the PGA Tour event held in Pebble Beach, California, USA from February 2nd.

The event is well known for not only PGA Tour players, but also amateur celebrities such as actors and stars from other sports.

156 professional players compete to determine the winner, and the same number of celebrities compete together to produce separate results, and Bale will be in the celebrity category.

Bale announced his immediate retirement from the club and national team two weeks ago, saying, “I look forward to the next phase of my life. It will be a time of change and transition, a chance for new adventures.”

Bale, a native of Cardiff, Wales, made his professional debut in 2006 at Southampton in English professional football, and after moving to Tottenham the following year, he emerged as a star player. In 2013 he wore the shirt of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

After suffering frequent injuries and sluggishness in Real Madrid, he was loaned to Tottenham for the 2020-2021 season, then left Real Madrid in June of last year to join LAFC of the American Professional Football (MLS) and played until retirement. 스포츠토토

Bale, as the Welsh national team, started with the youngest ever debut record in 2006, and scored 41 goals in 111 matches, holding both the most appearances and the most goals in the national team’s A-match.

Leading Wales in advancing to the World Cup 64 years after Sweden in 1958, he took the lead in the World Cup finals for the first and last time in his life wearing the armband of Wales captain in Qatar last year.

Bale showed great affection for his golf during his active career and often became a hot topic.

During his time at Real Madrid, he was criticized for playing golf even when injuries prevented him from playing.

In this AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, actor Bill Murray and American Professional Football (NFL) Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers will participate in the celebrity category along with Bale.

Pro players include Patrick Cantlay, Jordan Spieth (USA), and last year’s US Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick (England)
