The favourites, the SoftBank Hawks, lost again. They’ve lost 11 straight games. It’s the longest losing streak for the team in 54 years, since 1969. They are approaching the franchise record of 15 straight losses, also set in 1969.

SoftBank suffered a 3-4 loss in 10 extra innings against Chiba Lotte at Jojo Marine Stadium in Japan on 23 March. It was SoftBank’s 11th consecutive loss, dating back to the 7th against Rakuten.

SoftBank had runners on first and second with no outs in the top of the first inning, but centre fielder Yuki Yanagita grounded into a double play and No. 4 hitter Akira Nakamura grounded out to shortstop.

With one out in the top of the second, Takuya Kai’s grounder to shortstop scored the first run of the inning after three consecutive singles. However, in the bottom of the inning, they gave up three straight hits to Lotte Chiba with two outs to make it a 1-2 game.

SoftBank made it 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning when Nakamura led off with a single to left and then Astudillo, a foreign player, hit a grand slam over the left field fence.

The celebration was short-lived, as Chiba Lotte tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth when Kouki Yamaguchi hit a solo home run.

SoftBank had the bases loaded in the top of the seventh thanks to an error and two walks, but a fly ball and a ground out ended their chances.

SoftBank overcame runners on first and second in the bottom of the seventh, runners on first and second in the bottom of the eighth, and runners on first and second in the bottom of the ninth without giving up a run. However, in the top of the 10th in extra innings, SoftBank got two outs on a fielder’s choice, but gave up the game-winning hit to Hisanori Yasuda.토스카지노

Japanese media outlet Full Count reported that “SoftBank has lost 11 straight games in 54 years. They lost in 10 extra innings. Coach Fujimoto refused to hold a press conference after the game, saying, ‘I have nothing to say today.'”

SoftBank, which was tied for first place in the Pacific League with the Oryx and Chiba Lotte in early July, lost its 11th straight game to fall 7.5 games behind first-place Oryx and four games behind second-place Chiba Lotte.

Meanwhile, SoftBank will attempt to snap an 11-game losing streak against Chiba Lotte’s “perfect pitcher” Loki Sasaki at the same venue on the 24th. Sasaki is 5-0 with a 0.35 ERA in six appearances at Jojo Marine Stadium this season.
